Environmental Monitoring Program

ARAMARK utilizes regular tests and procedures to ensure that our
processes, air filtration systems, water quality, equipment, and cleaned
garments meet cleanroom standards.
Routine EM testing consists of:
- Surface microbial monitoring
- Viable air monitoring
- Nonviable air particulate monitoring
- Wash water monitoring
Surface Microbial Monitoring
Routine environmental monitoring of the microbiological quality of critical
cleanroom surfaces.
Viable Air Monitoring
Routine environmental monitoring of the microbiological quality of cleanroom
air indicating the adequacy of cleaning and sanitizing procedures, as well
as detecting contamination caused by personnel.
Nonviable Air Particulate Monitoring
Per ISO 16441-2, in addition to the formal certification process, there
is an on-going program of monitoring the air quality.
Wash Water Monitoring
To ensure that all elements of the water system are performing at the levels
required to consistently produce ASTMF51 "Class A" garments with acceptable
chemical and biological residuals, particulate counts,
total dissolved solids, total chlorine, hardness, resistivity, pH, water
temperature, and bioburden are monitored.
