Garment Tracking System (GTS)
All ARAMARK garments have cradle-to-grave barcode tracking.
ARAMARK's Garment Tracking System (GTS) helps control and monitor in-service
garments, giving you the control you need. We assign a unique serial number
to each garment. When the barcode is applied to the garment and assigned in
the system, it identifies the individual garment throughout that garment's
service life.
Garments are scanned in when they are received in the soil receiving area
(garments considered contaminated cannot be scanned in). All garments are
scanned out after processing in the pack-out cleanroom. We also scan garments
if they are sent for repair, stain removal, etc.
The Garment Tracking System
- Ensures you receive all your garments. Both in and out quantities are tracked. Any discrepancies are immediately identifiable.
- Guarantees that you receive only your garments. Because every garment is assigned to a specific customer, the system will not allow one customer's garments to be packed in another customer's order.
- Provides a complete garment history, including age, number of processings, in and out dates, and other important details.
- Takes garments out of service before they wear out or risk causing a contamination hazard.
